As women, our lives are full of responsibilities, obligations and roles to fill which means we rarely take time to care for our spirits. A woman whose life is balanced emotionally, spiritually, relationally and physically is better prepared to meet the demands of life, pursue her purpose and leave a legacy. The perfect environment to foster balance is in community with other women who are in the same place. Zion provides Christ-centered spiritual growth and encouragement for women in their shared journey of faith at every season of their lives, in order to deepen their relationship with God and others.
Here are just a few of the opportunities for you to become a part of that community…
WOMEN’S MINISTRY TEAM
Our hope is for every woman to be a part of our ministry and find a place of love and acceptance that will result in deeper relationships. The Women’s Ministry team…through bible studies, luncheons, retreats, afternoon Teas and more…seeks to provide opportunites for ZION’s women to build relationships, encourage, and support one another in our faith journey. If you’d like to be a part of this team or would like to learn more, please contact Sis. Sujatha Paul.
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
The Women’s Ministry team typically hosts a spring Bible Study. Please Contact Lois Clark for more information. A send Women’s Bible Study group is hosted by Lisa Baker. Please contact Lisa for more information about this group. Either way, a Women’s Bible Study is a great place to connect with women of all ages, while nourishing your soul through Christian study.
WOMEN’S CIRCLE GROUPS
Through Christian fellowship, devotional time, and prayer, our women’s circles strive to grow closer to each other as they grow closer to God. The Mary-Martha Circle meets for lunch at noon on the first Wednesday of each month at various local Restaurants. The Elizabeth Circle meets at noon on the first Tuesday of each month at various local Restaurants. They also hold fund-raisers throughout the year in order to provide support to various missions in our church and community. For information, please contact the Church Office.
WOMEN OF FAITH RETREAT
An annual conference consisting of exciting worship and spiritually uplifting speakers. A large group of Bethel women attended this past September and many hearts were touched by this wonderful two-day experience. To be transferred to the Women Of Faith website, Click Here.
FAITHFUL FRIENDS BOOK CLUB
This small group is currently on hiatus. Contact Ann Wotring for more information.
GARDENING ANGELS MINISTRY
Not specifically a women’s ministry, the Gardening Angels is a group of parishioners of all ages who help maintain or improve the landscape of the church grounds. Volunteering can involve one-time projects or ongoing projects. Volunteers choose the projects that suit their interests and time availability.
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
Not specifically a women’s ministry, this group of dedicated crafters meets each week to knit and crochet prayer shawls to give to the sick, bereaved, broken, and lonely. As they knit, the group members pray for whomever it is that might be receiving the shawls. Once completed, the shawls are consecrated. If you know of someone who would benefit from the comfort and love demonstrated by the gift of a prayer shawl, please contact the church office at 645-9426 or click here to email us.
